How do you lock down a dedicated device?
Three tools work together: Shell Launcher replaces the desktop with your application, Unified Write Filter discards changes at every restart, and Keyboard Filter disables shortcuts such as Ctrl+Alt+Del and the Windows key. Assigned Access can also restrict a user account to a single app.
Why Windows 10 rather than Windows 11?
Embedded hardware often stays in service seven to ten years, and many industrial boards in use today do not meet Windows 11 requirements. Which release should I choose?
LTSC 2021 is covered until January 2032 and LTSC 2019 until January 2029. The IoT Enterprise releases outside LTSC followed the regular Windows 10 servicing, which has ended, so prefer an LTSC release for equipment that must stay connected and secure. Every release is activated with its own matching key.
How is the key delivered?
By email, usually within a few minutes of payment, with activation instructions. Install the matching release, then enter the key in Settings, Update and Security, Activation. If a key ever proves defective we replace it for life, and our support team answers by email 7 days a week within 24 hours.
