What is an IoT edition for?
It runs machines that perform a single task. Shell Launcher replaces the desktop with your application, Unified Write Filter discards changes at every restart so the device always boots in the same state, and Keyboard Filter blocks shortcuts such as Ctrl+Alt+Del. Users only ever see what you intended.
IoT Enterprise or IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024?
IoT Enterprise follows the regular Windows 11 release rhythm with yearly feature updates. IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 keeps the same features for ten years, with security fixes until 2034, and Microsoft lowered its minimum hardware requirements, with TPM 2.0 optional. For equipment that must stay stable for years, LTSC is the usual choice.
How does it differ from Windows 11 Enterprise?
Technically the two are very close. The difference lies in the intended use: a general-purpose office workstation belongs to Enterprise, a fixed-function device belongs to IoT Enterprise. If you are equipping office PCs, see our Windows 11 Enterprise keys instead.
How is the key delivered?
By email, usually within a few minutes of payment, with activation instructions. Install the matching IoT Enterprise release, then enter the key in Settings, System, Activation. If a key ever proves defective we replace it for life, and our support team answers by email 7 days a week within 24 hours.
