Windows 10 Home Keys

Personal computers that cannot run Windows 11 because of a missing TPM 2.0 chip, a processor older than 2018 or no Secure Boot. Windows 10 Home handles browsing, office work, photos and video on such hardware, and a compatible PC can later be upgraded to Windows 11 Home at no extra cost.

Standard support ended in October 2025. Since then, security updates come only through Microsoft's Extended Security Updates (ESU) program, so check in Windows Update whether your PC is covered. Windows 10 S only runs apps from the Microsoft Store. It is safer by design, but restrictive as soon as a program is missing from the Store, so it mostly makes sense for a child's computer or a strictly controlled PC. Home N, for its part, is the same as Home without the built-in media player.
