What a Windows 10 Pro and Office bundle includes

A Windows 10 Pro and Office bundle combines two separate licenses sold together: one key for the operating system and one key for the office suite. You receive two activation codes with the installation steps for each product. Each key activates on Microsoft’s servers, and your PC then shows “Windows is activated” in its settings and an activated Office under File > Account.

This format meets a very practical need: getting a complete workstation back into service in a single order. Think of a PC recovered without an operating system, a refurbished machine, a workshop computer, or a second family PC that stays on Windows 10 because its hardware does not meet the TPM 2.0 requirement of Windows 11.

• An Office key, 2019 or 2021, Professional Plus edition, for Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook installed on the PC and usable offline.

Which Windows 10 Pro and Office bundle should you choose?

Two questions settle it: do you need the professional features of Windows (BitLocker, Remote Desktop host, Hyper-V, domain join), and do you want what Office 2021 adds over Office 2019 (refreshed interface, dark mode, XLOOKUP and dynamic arrays in Excel)?

Windows 10 in 2026: what to know before buying

To be clear: Microsoft ended standard support for Windows 10 on 14 October 2025. The system still installs and activates normally, and home users can keep receiving security updates through the consumer Extended Security Updates program, which Microsoft has extended until 12 October 2027. A Windows 10 Pro and Office bundle remains relevant in three situations:

• Incompatible hardware: a processor that is too old or no TPM 2.0 chip.
• A PC rarely or never connected to the internet: workshop, point of sale, test bench or dedicated machine.
• Business software validated only on Windows 10.

If your machine meets the Windows 11 requirements, the Windows 11 Pro and Office 2021 bundle is the more durable choice: check its price in the table above. Note also that Microsoft stopped publishing security updates for Office 2019 on 14 October 2025 and for Office 2021 on 13 October 2026; both suites keep working with no time limit.

Installation and compatibility

The recommended order is simple: install Windows 10 version 22H2 (64-bit in almost all cases) with Microsoft’s installation tool, activate the system, then install Office. Office 2019 and Office 2021 run on Windows 10 and Windows 11, but not on Windows 8.1 or Windows 7.

• Hardware: Microsoft’s minimums (a 1 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage for the 64-bit version) are just enough; aim for 4 GB of RAM or more and 40 GB of free space for a comfortable PC with Office.
• Language: you choose the Windows language during installation; the key itself does not depend on the language.
• One key, one PC: if you change the motherboard or the computer, contact our support team by email before reinstalling.

Why these licenses cost less than a boxed version

The price often surprises. It is explained by the nature of these licenses: genuine licenses that come from companies’ IT equipment in Europe, uninstalled and then sold second-hand. The Court of Justice of the European Union validated this practice in the UsedSoft judgment (case C-128/11): a software license placed on the market in the European Union can be resold to a new user. You therefore pay a second-hand price, not the price of a cut-down program or a trial version, and every order comes with a VAT invoice.
